2011 VIEP Conference Poster Presentations

New in 2011, the VIEP Conference will include a Poster Presentation session as part of the conference’s opening

festivities. Poster Presentations provide an opportunity for those who wish to share best practices or research

related to emergency management or preparedness initiatives with others who attend the Friday evening pre-

conference networking event. The focus will be on highlighting Vancouver Island projects/ practices/ research or

those that would benefit Vancouver Island communities in emergency preparedness or planning.

 

The Poster Presentation session will be held between 6:00 pm- 7:30 pm on Friday, April 15th as part of the

Conference’s OPENING NETWORK RECEPTION, INFORMATION EXCHANGE AND BOOTH DISPLAY.

 

What is a Poster Presentation?

Posters provide the opportunity to showcase special projects and initiatives that your team or community have

undertaken. The Poster should include detailed information about what has been done, the benefits and

involvement of the community or stakeholders, what makes it unique or innovative, and lessons learned or

recommendations for next steps.

Can my team present a poster at this session?

Yes! The VIEP Conference is happy to accept poster applications from interested parties across the Island.
