Welcome to the
Vancouver Island Emergency Preparedness (VIEP)
Conference Society
The VIEP Conference Society was established in 2008 to support Island communities in hosting the Vancouver Island Emergency Preparedness (VIEP) conference. The bi-annual conference brings together upwards of 350 dedicated volunteers to learn new skills, share experiences, build
bridges between Island communities and to renew their commitment to emergency preparedness.
*New in 2012!* The VIEP Conferences have been held annually since 2004. The VIEP Conference will continue in the Capital Regional District every second year. In years during which there will be no conference, the VIEP Conference Society will support a limited number of VIEP Sponsored Workshops, depending on available funding, to be conducted in communities outside of the CRD.
Check out Host a Workshop for more information and a workshop proposal form. For 2012 workshops proposals are due October 31, 2011.
